| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this article is to analyze the technical and social conditions that enable the system towards which the current academic information is moving, that is, digital resources. It will be seen that there is a constant tension between the availability of technological resources and their implementation or acceptance among academics - what we would call de “sociological” conditions. The main reason for this tension is the concern for quality. The validation of academic products generated in digital environments does not necessarily have the same rate as that of technological advances since this validation depends on variables which are additional to the availability of digital resources. | spa |
| dc.description.abstract | El propósito de este artículo es analizar las condiciones técnicas y sociales que posibilitan el sistema hacia el que actualmente se está moviendo la información académica, esto es, los recursos digitales. Se verá que hay una tensión constante entre la disponibilidad de recursos tecnológicos y su implementación o aceptación entre los académicos –lo que llamaríamos las condiciones “sociológicas”–. La razón principal para que esta tensión exista es la preocupación por la calidad. La validación de los productos académicos que se generan en ambientes digitales no necesariamente se da al mismo ritmo en que los avances tecnológicos lo hacen, puesto que esta validación depende de variables adicionales a la disponibilidad de recursos digitales. | spa |
