La integración de las migraciones medievales en Europa.

Abstract

Los pueblos conocidos en la historiografía tradicional como “bárbaros” llegan en diversas oleadas a Europa entre el siglo IV y el siglo XIII. En este escrito se pretende mostrar que el factor decisivo para la integración y civilización de los diversos pueblos que llegaron al Imperio Romano fue el cristianismo y que la Roma tradicional no habría tenido la capacidad de absorberlos. Para ello investigaremos algunas características de la expansión de Roma y los principios intrínsecos al cristianismo que le permitieron civilizar a los invasores.

The peoples traditionally known in historiography as barbarians arrived in Europe in various waves between the 4th and 13th centuries. This article aims to demonstrate that the decisive factor for the integration and civilization of the diverse peoples who entered the Empire was Christianity, and that Rome would not have had the capacity to absorb them on its own. To support this, we will examine certain characteristics of Rome's expansion and the intrinsic principles of Christianity that enabled it to civilize the invaders.
